This page explains what data r6tv collects and how cookies are used. r6tv is a fan-made project and is not affiliated with Ubisoft Entertainment.
What we collect
- Product usage (optional) — after you accept analytics cookies, we record actions such as opening Analyst Mode, editing an overlay, viewing a round, uploading a replay, creating/opening a shared link, and saving a screenshot.
- Account (optional) — if you sign in, we store your provider id and email to manage your plan. We never store passwords or card data.
- Uploads — replay files are decoded on our server; the decoded copy is stored in your browser's IndexedDB. The original .rec file stays on the server for up to 48 hours and is then deleted. Product analytics contains only success/error counts, never the filename, local replay id, or replay content.
- Bug reports — if you report a bug while watching your own upload and leave “Attach this match's replay” checked, the decoded rounds and the original .rec files of that match are stored with the report so we can reproduce the issue. They are kept until the report is deleted; contact us to have them removed sooner.
Cookies
- Essential — a signed session cookie when you sign in.
- Analytics — only after consent, a random first-party visitor id and per-tab session id help us measure product workflows. We do not send note text, drawing coordinates, replay filenames, screenshots, or local replay hashes.
Product analytics retention
Raw product events are kept for up to 90 days and then deleted. Shared-link tokens only connect a create event to an open event; they are not access keys and contain no replay or account data.
Third-party content
Esports replays, team and competition logos belong to Ubisoft. Top-down map images are from r6calls.com. Match videos in the replay player and on match pages are standard YouTube embeds (youtube.com), so YouTube may set its cookies and recognise your YouTube sign-in once you open a video; China league matches may play in Bilibili's official player. Nothing loads from these services until you open a video, and their privacy policies (Google, Bilibili) apply to what you watch there. Voluntary donations are handled entirely by external platforms (DonationAlerts) — payment data never touches our servers.
Subscriptions and payments
Freemius handles new paid orders. We send your account email, selected plan and billing period to create and identify your purchase. Freemius collects billing and payment details directly and processes subscriptions, receipts and refunds under its Privacy Policy. The provider identified on an earlier receipt continues to hold the records associated with that purchase.
r6tv stores customer, transaction and subscription identifiers, plan and subscription status, billing dates, payment amounts and currencies, recorded consent and refund status. We do not store card numbers, security codes or payment-card tokens.
Subscription records remain while needed to provide access. Account deletion removes profile data and personal content; payment records are retained for 24 months for accounting and payment disputes. Deleting a r6tv account does not delete records the payment provider must retain. You can export your r6tv data and request account deletion from Account.
